Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

KaryaVidhan is a religious services platform operated for the KaryaVidhan community. This policy explains what happens to information you provide when you use our website karyavidhan.com or the KaryaVidhan Android app. If you have any questions, email info@karyavidhan.com.

2. What we collect

• Account details you provide at registration: full name, email address, phone number and district.
• Profile information you choose to add later: address, profile photo and (for pandits) professional details and certificates.
• Booking and order data: the services, pandits and products you book or buy, your ceremony address, schedule and special requests.
• Communications: chat messages exchanged with pandits or support, and reviews you write.
• Device tokens: a push-notification token for your device when you enable notifications (no notification content is stored).
• Location, only when you ask to find nearby pandits: used once to return the nearest results and not stored with your account.
• Kundali readings: birth details you submit to request a reading, kept only as long as needed to deliver it.
• Technical data needed to run the service securely (e.g. login timestamps and rate-limiting counters).

3. Why we use it

We use your information solely to (a) run your account and provide the services you request, (b) send you booking/order confirmations and service notifications you asked for, (c) keep the platform safe from abuse, and (d) meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Payments

All payments for ceremonial services and puja materials are settled directly with the pandit or shop (cash or the agreed method). KaryaVidhan acts as the platform connecting you and the provider, and it does not store your bank or card details.

4. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is active. Historical bookings, orders and payment records are kept for legal and business accounting reasons. Where such records must be retained, personal details in them are removed once you no longer need the account.

5. Deleting your account and data

You can request permanent deletion of your account and personal data at any time: in the Android app go to Profile → Delete Account, or on the website at /account/delete. Deletion is permanent: your information is removed or irreversibly de-personalized, you are signed out everywhere, and you can no longer sign in.

6. Other services

Our platform shares minimal information with service providers who make KaryaVidhan work: Google (Firebase push notifications and Google Sign-In authentication) and our hosting provider. We never share your data with other third parties.
